    Description

    My Maths Review Bundle PowerPoint slides were designed for schools that use the Direct Explicit Instruction (EDI) model, however they would be suitable for any Early Years classroom looking for a highly engaging Maths review/ consolidation PowerPoint for a daily or weekly warmup. This is my 'Maths Review Bundle' meaning you will get all four packs- the packs progress in difficulty.

    Pack one focuses on the following, with clear 'I can' statements on each section

    • Recognising numbers to 10
    • 2D Shapes
    • Patterns
    • More/ Less
    • Prepositions
    • Formation of numbers to 10
    • Number fluency to 10
    • Number Descrimination
    • Subitising
    • Counting small collections
    • Active counting by jumping, hopping, stomping, spinning etc.

    Pack two focuses on the following, with clear 'I can' statements for each section.

    • Recognising numbers to 15
    • 2D Shapes (focusing on counting the number of sides)
    • 2D Shapes- what 2D shapes can we see in the picture?
    • Continuing patterns
    • Recognising different number representations (tallies, pictures, tens frames, fingers, subitising dots, numberals, words)
    • Prepositions
    • Comparing objects by size (longer, shorter, taller, bigger, smaller etc)
    • Addition progressing in difficulty- with pictures, and and is language, + and = etc.

    • Interpreting simple graphs
    • Recognising different number representations (tallies, pictures, tens frames, fingers, subitising dots, numberals, words)
    • Comparing objects by size (longer, shorter, taller, bigger, smaller etc)
    • Addition progressing in difficulty- with pictures, and and is language, pictures and numbers combines, symbols etc
    • Formation of numbers to 20
    • Counting forwards and backwards to 20, and filling in the missing numbers in a sequence.

    • Subitising to 8
    • Counting collections with accuracy to 20
    • Fly Swat number whack game
    • Problem solving word problems for students to show their thinking by drawing.

    Pack four focuses on the following, with clear 'I can' statements on each slide:

    • Recognising numbers to 100
    • Counting on and back from non zero starting points.
    • Counting collections with one to one correspondence.
    • More/ less using symbols <, >, = as well as the language of greater than, less than.
    • Addition- friends of 10, number bonds, mental maths, tens frames, real life scenarios to draw.
    • Subtraction with pictures, on a number line, real life scenarios to draw.
    • Doubles
    • Interpreting picture and bar/ column graphs.
    • Place Value- ones, tens, hundreds.
    • Time (O'clock and half past- both digital and analogue)
    • 3D Shapes
    • Fractions- Halves and Quarters
    • Formal measurement using a ruler.
    • Capacity and Mass!
    • Chance/ Likelihood
    • And so much more!

    This resource must be opened in PowerPoint. It is animated so you will be required to play this slide using the slideshow tab across the top. Please do not edit the individual slides or the animations and formatting might alter. If this does happen, just delete the document from your computer and re-download it from TPT. These slides are designed to assist you to review key concepts taught in Prep/ Foundation/ Kindy/ Reception etc. If any slides do not apply to you, simply delete the slide by selecting in on the left hand side and click delete.

    All of the sections have a clear ‘I can’ statement. Majority of the slides require a click, and this is so you can work through as fast or slow as you desire. It is a review, which means it is supposed to be fast and engaging, reviewing key concepts that you have been learning. This is not designed to teach your students concepts, but to review concepts explicitly taught by you.

    Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1).
    Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
    Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
    Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
    Understand that each successive number name refers to a quantity that is one larger.
