Mammology is a motivational, challenging, individualized semester curriculum-plan written according to Bloom’s Taxonomy. Biology Topics promotes higher level thinking for middle or high school students.
The products produced in this independent study can range from written papers, lab reports, posters, mobiles, three-dimensional models, oral presentations, photographs, videos, power point presentations, slide shows, bulletin boards, puppet shows or even a song on the topic put to music. This diversity allows students to apply personal talents. Students take ownership in what they are doing and their self-motivation can be phenomenal!
Students have reported that their independent study was the most informative, beneficial, and educational work done while in school. Upon completion of an independent study, students feel prepared to take on college courses due to the self-discipline and organizational skills they have learned.
