Suggested uses: When giving students this kind of assignment, I would provide them with the meaning of the root and have them use the story’s context to work together to match the various words using that root to their meanings. Then, they would record these definitions on the Root Word Tree page. Other times, I would have them look up the definitions of the words in order to determine the meaning of the root.
