Description

Get active and practice your mental arithmetic and basic algebra skills with the original board game Lump Sum! Players race to the finish as they earn points by performing random numbers of random exercises, such as jumping jacks and arm circles. Each gameplay is different, as tiles are placed in random locations on the board. Game is for two to four players and lasts around 30 minutes. Calculating final scores involves some simple algebra (evaluating a subtraction expression at a given value).

Players should be proficient in two- to three-digit mental arithmetic as well as know how to use a simple website (for generating random numbers!). The rules are somewhat complex, so Lump Sum makes a great GATE or enrichment activity. Due to the physical activity component, Lump Sum also makes a good brain break.

Product includes:

  • Game board
  • 30 tiles with exercises, 5 FREE tiles, and 5 blank tiles for you to add your own exercises
  • Instructions, including first-time setup
