What educators are saying

This is a favorite activity for all my students. Takes a little bit of time to put it together, but it's well worth it.

Description

These lowercase alphabet flashlight / light table cards are like magic for your SOR literacy centers, Flashlight Fridays, or for a whole group activity to introduce letter names and sounds as well as words that start with those sounds. It includes the short and long vowels. Once you've grabbed some flashlights or your light table, made and laminated the cards, you can use them year after year.

1. Say the letter name and the sound.

2. Shine a flashlight behind the letter to reveal the images. The students try to figure out or read which word goes with the image they just found and check it on the checklist. There is also a printing page if you wish to use that as well.

*There are two versions of this resource in the one file. Please read the first page before choosing to print the one that works best for you.*

This set is also offered in a BUNDLE with the uppercase set. You can see the BUNDLE here: Uppercase and Lowercase Alphabet Letter Recognition Flashlight Cards .
