Description

This writing assignment is designed to accompany the online simulation found at:

https://tihc.uml.edu/bringing-history-home/page_00/index.htm

This assignment asks students to write a narrative of what they experience as a mill girl in the simulation, and includes a break-down of requirements they need to include from the simulation in order for them to get the most out of the experience.

I’ve included 4 examples of student work to give you an idea of the sort of finished product you can expect from students after they click through the online simulation and complete the requirements of the writing assignment.

This assignment can be used in history class and would also work well as a creative writing assignment in English / ELA.
