Long A Hidden Pictures 1 Review Game

• 17 Slides.
• Practice Long A
• Words: case, cake, cave, wave, cape, vase, lake, tape, bake, sail, rain, play, tray, snail, chain, hazy.

Letter A Follow the Vocab

• 21 slides.
• 10 rounds.
• Short and Long A practice - question prompted by pictures.
• After the front slide the game begins.
• First rounds are easier with less pictures.
• Later rounds are harder with up to 9 pictures at the end.
• Teams will take it in turns to answer.

Gameplay

1. Taking round 1 as an example.
2. Three pictures are shown. After ten seconds they will disappear.
3. Students are to try and follow at least one of these pictures.
4. Click the go button to begin.
5. The three pictures will mix between themselves and end in a different position.
6. Team A goes first.
7. Anybody in the team can answer.
8. Say the number and then the word.
9. Click on the card to see if the answer is correct - 1 point per correct answer.
10. After Team A have answered. Offer the chance for Team B and subsequently C, D etc in order. to answer. Attempt to get all of the cards answered before moving on.
11. Click on the arrow to continue to round 2.
12. If you ever need to replay a round, you can press the refresh button on the left side. Note: pressing go won't work after a refresh, you can start by pressing any blank space on the page (ie. anywhere but on the cards or go button). It will work again fine after this point.
13. As the game goes on, you may want to change the rules by allocating 2 words for each team to follow with bonus points if they can answer any other words.

Long A MemWord Phonics Review Game

• 6 Slides.
• 50 variations (rounds).
• Practice Long A
• First you have time to review - if necessary.
• Press the arrow for the letters to drop down.
• 10 letters with numbers (number of words in the sequence) appear at the top.
• Pressing any of these will start a sequence (pictures flashing) that upon finishing, students must repeat.
• Starts from A (easy) and ends in J (hard).
• 5 stages starting from 4 pictures and ending in 7.

Long A Phonics Review Game - Hidden Pictures 2 Activity:

Insanely fun Long A game to keep your kiddos entertained with plenty of color, sounds and nice graphics.

• 18 Slides
• Words: cave, case, snail, sail, lake, cake, play, wave, rain, bake, vase, tail, tray, baby, day, chain, tape.
• Clicking on any of the squares/rectangles on each slide will make that shape disappear revealing part of the picture underneath. Keep revealing the picture until student(s) say the right word. Clicking the circle in the bottom right corner will remove all remaining pieces and the word will appear. Shortly after the circle will be replaced by an arrow and clicking this will turn to the next slide.

Long A Review Mini Games

• Practice Long A
• Words: cake, case, cave, tray, snail, chain, sail, tape, play, rain, vase, lake, hazy, wave, cape, bake, tail, baby, day
• 5 mini games:
  • 1. Choose a Number: 12 pieces, clicking one will make it disappear and part of the picture can be seen. Keep clicking pieces until students guess the right word. Press check for all pieces to disappear and word to appear. Press arrow for next page.
  • 2. Press Go: Automatic games these two. Press go and the pieces will slowly disappear. Press go again when students have guessed the right word. Word will appear under. Arrow will move onto next page.
  • 3. What do you see? Click one of the pieces and it will slowly fade away. Press it again for it to disappear completely and word to appear underneath.
  • 4. Up Close: Guess what the up close picture is on the left. Press the jigsaw pieces for the normal sized picture to appear with the word.
  • 5. Speed Words: Several ways you could play this. Either give the students time to look at all the words or just start immediately. Pressing go will make one of the words fly away. Which word was it?

• The first game contains seven words on the right side. Choose the correct word for each picture shown. Click on the words on the right side. If it is correct it will flash green, if wrong it will disappear. The second game requires the students to choose the correct picture for each word shown. Click on the pictures for correct answer to flash green, incorrect answers will disappear.

Short A Phonics Review Game - Riddle Time

• 17 Slides
• Words: man, ran, pan, can, hat, rat, mat, fan, ham, band, sand, sad, map, clap, jam, bag
• The question slide will begin with a clue and the amount of points available for guessing the correct word with this clue alone. Students can write/say their answers. Clicking the curved arrow on the right will make the next clue appear. This will have a lower points value but gives another clue for students to guess the word on. Again, press the curved arrow for the final clue. This is pretty much a a give away e.g. you put this on your head, so students win at least five points on each round. Press the arrow for the answer. A pic will also appear but immediately become semi-transparent so you can still see the clues underneath if you wish to go through them.

Short A Phonics Review Game - The Short Question

• This game is similar to hangman but without the hanging! Question slide will start with a question at the top. Clicking the squares will reveal letters in the word. Students can guess words or letters at this point. Pressing the question mark will reveal a picture of the word if the students are still unsure of the answer. Press the question mark again for the full answer to appear (if you haven't already finished the answer). Clicking the white box in the right corner will change to the next page.
