Description

Need a hands-on activity without the excruciating pain of a risk assessment? Our biotic and abiotic factors pack has you covered. The living or non-living things card sort activity with worksheets will give your students another chance at spaced repetition while also giving them a break from their screens. Have students practice new "abiotic" and "biotic" terminology and reflect on their answers.

What You'll Get

  • 36 high-quality color images with labels to sort
  • Category labels
  • Two versions of worksheet and labels depending on if you would prefer to use biotic and abiotic terminology or living and non-living terminology
  • Answer sheet provided

Differentiation & Accessibiltiy

You can easily differentiate among your class by giving students different cards. For example, gifted and talented students can be challenged by giving them the more challenging cards, such as blue-veined cheese. English language learners and students with a disability can be accommodated by using the version of the worksheet that uses "non-living" and "living" rather than the more technical terms "abiotic" and "biotic". The use of photos in this resource also makes it age-appropriate for high school students with disabilities.

✨ A compatible sister packet and BUNDLE are available as well.
