What educators are saying

This is a great resources. I appreciate how it outlines each area in Canada and explains the resources there and the Indigenous uses for them.

Description

"All About Living Things" is an extensive work. It covers topics like plants, their parts, needs and explains dormancy. It covers animals, hibernation, camouflage, migration plus physical features and adaptations. All created to align with BC's NEW Curriculum for Grade 1 life science. Reading information is presented in mini-booklets and on reading pages. "Tour across Canada" and discover similarities and differences of plants and trees from the provinces & territories and their Indigenous uses. How were plants useful and used (in the past/present) by the First Peoples of Canada? Last sections include a mini-booklet on seasonal rounds (unique to this product) and compares traditional and Indigenous ways of sorting and classifying things (scientific vs Indigenous).
