    Description

What are literary terms, and what makes them significant to literature and creative writing? This bundle of literary terms lessons covers concepts connected to the literary topics of THEATRE & DRAMA, POETRY, the ERAS OF LITERATURE, LITERARY CRITICISM, SOUND DEVICES, WRITING STRATEGIES, NARRATIVE CONCEPTS, and POINTS OF VIEW.

All of these lessons are designed to work as an introduction or supplement to units related to creative writing and/or the study of literature and poetry.

Before students are able to fully understand and create literature, it is important they understand the underlying concepts and techniques used to produce literary art. These lessons will help your students learn and practice these techniques, as well as provide the resources to help teachers assess student understanding.

For each of the 12 provided lessons, your purchase includes:

    • A presentation of 10-18 literary terms and definitions connected to the corresponding literary concept
    • A writing assignment that asks students to use the presented terms in a piece of original writing
    • A quiz assessment that includes definition matching (or drop-down selection), provided in 5 file types (Google Form, PDF, Easel assessments, ExamView test file, and ExamView test bank file)
