Solving literal equations can be a difficult topic for students to understand, especially if there is variety in the types of equations/formulas they are asked to solve. These notes and practice are appropriate for middle or high school students in pre-algebra and above. I have included some introductory problems as well as some that are more challenging. (See the preview to see actual examples.)
These versatile, detailed notes and examples will provide structure to your lessons. Choose to use all or some of the three pages of notes and examples to tailor your lesson to the needs of your students. Follow up with one or both of the worksheets (18 questions each).
