Literal Equations: Find the Error

This activity includes 5 literal equations that students must not only solve, but also critique the work of a sample student. The first column on the left is the problem, the next column is space for students to solve the literal equation for the indicated variable, the next column is work of a sample student that solved the problem incorrectly, and the last column provides space for students to justify why the sample student work is incorrect. This activity allows students to practice finding the error of given work, which is a common test style question.
