What educators are saying

This is very easy to use. I like using it to screen students and update the PLOP for the IEP. It really gives insight into their auditory comprehension as well as the ability to respond to different types of questions.

Description

These screenings were created to give you a snapshot of your students' listening comprehension skills as they are aligned to the Common Core standards and expectations for their grade level.

There are a list of common core standards targeted for each grade level, screening forms for grade K-5, as well as, an example of a scored screening. Each screening form has an original story with grade level vocabulary. Stories are followed by questions targeting listening comprehension standards. Next to each question it sites the common core standard that the question targets. Questions are given a point value based on target and difficulty.

Once completed, you can total the student's points and compare them to the average point rating on the form. Average points are calculated to equal approximately 80%. These screenings are not normed or standardized, their goal is to give you a better understanding of your students' strengths and weaknesses as they pertain to their listen comprehension skills and Common Core expectations.

** Updated 1/7/14 **
There are now 2 screenings for each grade level. This provides options for pre and post-test assessments.
