Description

This is a great activity to simulate taking inventory for Middle or High School students in the Life Skills program. It simulates taking inventory in a grocery store, and is great for students who need help mastering this skill in order to be successful in their school or community based job site. This resource consists of 3 sets of 2-stocked shelves and differentiated inventory sheets. One inventory sheet has pictures with words, and one sheet has just the words for each set.

To use: Print all shelves  in color and laminate for continued use. Print inventory sheets grey scale or  color on standard copy paper for worksheets. To make it a little more realistic, post the shelf on the wall, and have them stand up to complete their inventory form on a clipboard.

The activity requires students to count two sets of the same type of items, and record on the inventory sheet. They are then required to look and record changes in their inventory.
