What educators are saying

I used this as a fun summer activity with my mixed aged kids. They love it! We had the skeleton hanging next to our fridge for months!
Pasting the organs and body parts on a student's body was very engaging. The students really paid attention to the lessons as they knew it was their body they were talking about.

Description

This 32-page Life-sized Anatomy lesson includes a 4’ skeleton and major organs that can be colored in and assembled as a class or in groups. Children will learn the names of major bones and organs as well as their functions. They will also learn how everything fits together and how organs work together to build systems. The digestive system, respiratory system, skeletal system, circulatory system, and urinary systems are described. Worksheets help students label major organs and describe their functions, and posters help with recognition and memory. Children love assembling this life-sized human anatomy model. This packet includes basic information and is a fun way to introduce young children to anatomy. This packet is appropriate for 2nd-5th grade, but has been used with both younger and older students. This is what you get:

Child life-sized skeleton-approximately 4ft(all major bones are labeled: skull, ribs, scapula, tibia, fibula, patella, metatarsals, metacarpals, pelvis, vertebrae, radius, ulna, carpals, metacarpals, phalanges)

Child life-sized digestive system (major parts labeled and functions described)

Child life-sized major organs including: brain, heart, lungs, liver, pancreas, stomach, large intestine, small intestine, kidneys, and bladder

System descriptions

Organ descriptions

Digestive System Poster

Digestive System labeling and coloring worksheet

Skeletal System labeling worksheet

Skeletal System Poster

Mini-skeletal system assembly project

Flashcards for bones and organs (can be used to play match and sort game)

Please note: The life-sized skeleton itself is the same one that is included in my Day of the Dead Coloring Sheet download, but this Human Anatomy lesson also includes organs and systems and focuses more on anatomy.
