What educators are saying
Description
Included in this resource are 6 square posters in either color or black and white featuring levels 0 through 4 and a title square stating "Levels of Understanding." There are a variety of exit tickets to accompany these posters. There are three different rating scales (face & numbers, only faces, and only numbers), as well as three different answer boxes (blank space, lines, and wide spaced lines).
Self reflection is so important for growth, and that is something every teacher wants for their students. With these posters, your students can reflect on their learning and take ownership of it. This is a quick way to check for understanding with your students by having them choose which level of understanding they currently are on for a given topic.
I like to use this after giving a lesson: students hold up however many fingers matches their level (close to their heart, so that no one feels embarrassed), or I have students fill out an exit ticket and circle the level that matches how they feel.
Using these posters have helped my students gain ownership of their learning. This has also helped me quickly check in to see who I need to check in with immediately or who needs enrichment.
I hope you find this resource as useful in your classroom as it has been for me!
