    HOW TO USE:

    • Assessing students' understanding of phonics skills can often be a struggle! That's why I created these ready-made exit tickets for you, so you don't have to create your own assessments.
    • I firmly believe in having students self-reflect on their learning progress, but they often need support! With emojis for self-assessment, these phonics exit tickets offer a consistent method for students to evaluate their understanding.
    • Simply print the exit ticket and give it to students to formatively assess their understanding of that lesson's skills! They'll self-assess using emojis, too. ;)
    • Oh yeah, and each exit ticket comes in a PDF format AND a Google Slides version.
    • ALL units and skills are included, so you have daily exit tickets for the entire year ready! Skills include:

    GRADES TRACKER:

    • Do you wish you had a quick way to record students' scores daily? Use the Google Sheets Grades Tracker for a quick visual representation of your class's overall performance.
    • All color coding and formatting are done FOR YOU! I've even included a HOW-TO to help you get started. I find these scores especially helpful when looking at the Unit test scores. This allows me to pinpoint where exactly areas of weakness occurred. The format is good for up to 35 students.
    • Activities on each phonics exit slip include coloring, marking up words, spelling, and more!

    IDEAS FOR USE:

    1. Morning Work Review: Utilize the exit tickets as a quick review activity during morning work or as students enter the classroom. This helps reinforce previous phonics lessons and sets a positive tone for the day.
    2. Homework Extensions: Send home selected exit tickets as homework extensions for additional practice. This allows students to continue practicing phonics skills outside the classroom and involves caregivers in their child's learning.
    3. Small Group Differentiation: Use the exit tickets as a form of differentiation during small group instruction. Assign specific tickets tailored to each group's needs, allowing for targeted practice and assessment of individual skill levels.
