What educators are saying

Perfect for my first graders. It is short and sweet but allows their 2nd grade teacher to get to know a little about them!

Description

Looking for a fun end of the year writing activity to keep your students engaged these last few weeks? These differentiated templates are perfect for ESL students! With these letter to future teacher templates, you can just print and go, or go paperless and assign via Google Slides and go!

WHAT IS INCLUDED?

  • 6 Letter to Future Teacher templates - Google Slides
  • 6 Letter to Future Teacher templates - PDF Color
  • 6 Letter to Future Teacher templates - PDF Black and White
  • Template Greetings: 'Dear ___ Grade Teacher' for grades 2-5, 'Dear Future Teacher,' and a general 'Dear __________'

HOW TO USE:

  • You're trudging along, but your students need something—heck, anything—to keep them engaged and attentive these last few weeks! I know how you feel; that's why I created the letter templates!
  • I like to use this Letter to Future Teacher template to help guide my students in writing a letter to next year's teacher rather than give them a blank piece of paper & free-write.
  • Depending on how students feel, this end of the year activity can help ease their fears OR increase their excitement.
  • To differentiate for the diverse needs of ALL students, there are 6 templates included with various levels of scaffold (same body for all templates, different greetings) in both PDF (Color and Black/White) and Google Slides.
  • Use the general (blank) version for advanced writers, or use the guided templates for those needing more support.
  • You can use these letters to send along with the students' cumulative paperwork for the next teacher to read!

IDEAS FOR USE:

  1. Use it whole-group and project it on the SmartBoard to demonstrate
  2. Assign it as a tech center activity
  3. Assign it for homework
  4. Use as a substitute activity
  5. Use as morning work
