Description

Finding letter reversal activities for b and d and p and q can be tricky business! And letter reversal worksheets alone won’t cut it!  Use these printable story, song, letter reversal posters, and worksheets along with hand signals for a multi-sensory strategy to help your kindergarten and first grade kids who are just learning to read and write.

Children will enjoy the story of The King and his Letter Bed and using their hands to "make the bed," (b and d reversals) and then flipping them upside down to find the prince and queen hiding there (p and q reversals). This then becomes a “handy”  and effective tool for letter discrimination whenever they are reading or writing. And as a teacher, you will rest easier, knowing that you are finally able to put those letter reversal problems to bed!

Hang the letter reversal posters and songs on your walls to help remind children to use this strategy whenever they encounter b and d and p and q.

What Teachers Say About This Resource:

❤️ “My students loved it. It was very engaging. The students were able to use a physical hand movement to make the letters, use the same model I used along with singing a very catchy song to help them differentiate between these tricky letters.” Michele B.
