What educators are saying

This made letter recognition not a boring, overwhelming stressful task. My students adored the fun graphics.

Description

These activities teach letter recognition and identification in a fun and interactive way! It does not focus on correct letter formation, but simply learning to recognize the uppercase and lowercase letters! You will want to reinforce each letter sound as a new letter is introduced.

Included in this bundle:

Three Interactive Printables for Each Letter

  1. The first page is simply a large letter with three pictures that begin with the letter sound. Your students can color the letter, paint the letter, or glue just about anything on the paper! Our favorites... cheerios, noodles, construction paper squares, glitter, play dough.
  2. The second printable is for sorting letters. Your students will cut, sort, and glue the letters in the correct group.
  3. The third printable is used to distinguish between the uppercase and lowercase letters. Your students will need to use a pencil and paperclip to spin and color a letter. Dotting the letter is a good idea too! You could also make this page a game. Each person picks a color and takes turns spinning. The first person to get four in a row is the winner.

Letter Search and Color

This activity is basically a letter search! Your students will need to find various letters and color each letter the correct color. I have included five letters on a page – one page of uppercase letters, and one page of lowercase letters.

Roll a Letter

The last section is used for students to begin tracing the letters. Your students will roll a die and then trace the matching letter. If your kiddos aren't ready for tracing, you could always color or use paint dots.
