Writing a narrative can be tough! This pack is designed to help kids write their own narrative based on a topic using picture cards to help them through the process of coming up with story ideas! Students choose the cards that will go best with their story and then include them in their final copy!

My students always struggle with writing narratives, especially coming up with ideas and keeping the story interesting. The use of picture cards helps my students come up with story ideas more easily. With the ideas taken care of, we can focus on writing techniques like transition words, adding dialogue, using imagery, etc. I try to focus each writing lesson/project on a certain element of writing. I included several final copy paper options as well as a rubric.
