Let's Learn About the Washington Monument - Smartboard Lesson

This lesson is an introduction to the Washington Monument. This lesson begins with a KWL chart to determine what students already know about the monument and what they would like to know. The lesson then goes on to describe what the monument is and why it was built. There are many fun facts about the monument included. There are also several links to videos about George Washington and The Washington Monument. I also have included links to a few websites in case some of your students' questions are not answered in the lesson. At the end of the lesson there is an "exit ticket" included where students can share something they learned from the lesson that can then be added to the KWL chart. This exit ticket can be opened and printed from the attachments tab of the lesson.
