Description

Lent Activity: Spiritual Works of Mercy Presentation & Graphic Organizer:

How can we best engage older students while teaching about the spiritual works of mercy? It can be a challenge! This Lent activity has a very interactive presentation on the spiritual works of mercy. Collaborative discussion prompts engage students and lead them to make personal connections to the content. You can use these at Lent or any other time!

In this Lent Activity: Spiritual Works of Mercy Presentation & Graphic Organizer, you will find:

  • 30 guided interactive slides
  • Discussion prompts embedded throughout the presentation
  • Student recording sheet/graphic organizer to document learning

At the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

  • Explain the difference between the Corporal Works of Mercy and the Spiritual Works of Mercy.
  • Explain why these seven actions make up the Spiritual Works of Mercy.
  • Identify that these are based on Scripture and given to us by Jesus.
  • List the Spiritual Works of Mercy and explain how each one can be lived out
  • Define the Communion of Saints and the implications of that belief

Teachers work hard, so this easy-to-use resource is fully guided for the busy teacher as well. Print and Go!  Making copies of the recording sheet is the only prep work you need to do! (Gotta love that!)
