Learning Letter Sounds book - Jack Hartmann

This is a read-along/sing-along book that nicely accompanies Jack Hartmann's song "Learning Letter Sounds" from his "Shake, Rattle, 'n' Read" CD. The colorful, vivid pictures in this book match Jack Hartmann's lyrics exactly, as do the words ... so this is a great tool for all emergent readers in your class, but especially those visual and auditory learners! This book is also a wonderful addition to the Listening Center in your class, as well as any Literacy Centres! You could also use this book as the impetus to make a class alphabet book, in which students generate their own words for each of the letters (e.g. I says Ice Cream).
