Description
A fun way to get students to practice and develop their knowledge of sentence structure, sentence types, and common sentence errors. It's a great activity for test prep and review, holidays, the last day or week of school, or other filler days.
I usually hate "test prep." But let's be honest: we all want to review a bit before sending our students into spring state tests to make sure they can do their best. "Law & Order: SSU" is a fun, interactive way for students to review what they know about sentence structure as well as to learn new concepts. In the game, students will play in teams to find answer questions based on example sentences--and just to keep it fun, the example passages are all about episodes of Law & Order.
"Law & Order: SSU" is intended to be used as a competitive game show, but it could also be used for a fun full-class activity or done with partners.
This PowerPoint game has almost fifty possible questions (as well as a few fun bonus round questions) and is packed with fun, interactive animations, sound clips, and navigation buttons. NOTE that there is one font you will need to install to get the game to look like the preview pictures, which only takes a few seconds.
