What educators are saying

My students love the Street Law problems. It's really great because we can use some of the shorter problems as warm-ups, and longer ones as full assignments.
While many of these can be found directly in the Street Law book, I do enjoy it when it saves me time and effort. Each Do Now prompts thought and discussion.

    Description

Designed for law teachers to begin their class periods for Law Education or Street Law. These are directly from the textbook Street Law: A Course In Practical Law (8th Edition). Each DO NOW prompt is one of the "problems" or "cases" from the textbook. I have referenced each problem number in the top of each slide (see preview). This PPT includes a DO NOW/Warm up for every day you teach each unit plus more (approx 20-30 prompts per Unit). While the background template is embedded, you can edit each prompt as desired.

    THIS RESOURCE INCLUDES ✔

Over 100 Bell Ringer Do Now Prompts for Units 1-3, 5-6 in Street Law Curriculum

***NOTE: This does NOT include prompts for Unit 4: Consumer Law as I do not currently teach that unit in the traditional lecture-style. I do a mini-unit for Unit 4. (See my bundle listing for my Powerpoints to see the projects I use for Unit 4)

Beautifully Designed PowerPoint Slides with the Prompts (Ready to Present)

Sample Prompt: In which of the following situations should the plaintiff be able to recover damages based on strict liability? (Problem 21.1)

I recommend a think-pair-share strategy or class discussion to start class. The students should come into class and look for the prompt posted on the board (slides). The students should write their responses independently and think through their prior knowledge/opinions. They may need to reference website resources or the Street Law Textbook if they have access. This could also be assigned to them through Google Classroom so they can have access to some of the longer prompts.

You will receive a PDF for each unit once purchased. The PDF will have the copy link that will take you to the google slides file. Please select "Yes" when it prompts you to make a copy!
