Created to assist students master this Common Core Standard: Use common, grade-appropriate Greek and Latin affixes and roots as clues to the meaning of a word.

This resource includes the following:

-20 flashcards with Latin or Greek roots on one side and English definitions on the other. They can be used by the teacher or copied to give each student a set.

-3 quizzes with answer keys that can be given as formative or summative assessments. Each quiz contains all 20 roots, but the roots are arranged in different orders to ensure student mastery.

-1 memory strategy page with a graphic organizer perfect for introducing new roots to students.

-3 flashcard games to give students a fun way to practice. The games are all slight variations of popular classroom and card games. Great for centers!
