Finding LCM and GCF is easy with this Ladder Method Doodle Notes page. Use these notes to introduce or review the different ways the ladder method can be used – to find prime factorization, least common multiple, greatest common factor, and even to factor expressions.
- This method of notes and examples is much more engaging than a regular notes worksheet!
Students can keep these notes in their notebooks and use them as a reference or study tool all year.

Tips for Using the Ladder Method Doodle Notes
Encourage students to “color-code” their notes or add pictures or additional notes, etc, to help them remember the concepts.
- For example, I used pink for the ‘prime’ definition and for the prime numbers I used on the ladder.
- I used green for the check marks and the work/notes for checking.
