La gentillesse | French Kindness Emergent Reader

Whether in recognition of Pink Shirt Day (La journée du chandail rose) or for other anti-bullying initiatives, this French Emergent Reader focuses on acts that students can do to show kindness to those around them. This reader focuses on behaviours in the classroom and provides students with actionable things they can do to be kind.

What's included in this resource?

• Big Book (in colour and greyscale) - You can laminate and bind the pages to make and share the story. I like to add the book to our class library.
• Half Page Version of Story with full text and images - Students can use this to take home, as a colouring book or booklet for their own personal book boxes.
• Half Page Version of the Story with cut and paste pictures to recreate the story. Students need to read the text and glue the pictures to the correct place on each page. Alternately, they can simply draw their own images
• Class Book - Use the provided templates to have each student complete a page following the pattern. You can bind all the pages together to make a book.
