Description

Subject/Level: Italian Level I

Unit: Community and Neighborhood

Prior Learning: Students are familiar with vocabulary for community locations, means of transportation, conjugating the verb andare, prepositions ‘a’, ‘in’ and ‘per’, and using contractions.

Assessment Objectives:Students will demonstrate the ability to:

1. identify vocabulary for locations in the community and means of transportation

2. comprehend where people are going by listening and reading

3. construct sentences using the verb andare and the prepositions a / in /per

Standards: Communication, Comparisons

L1: Demonstrate command of conventions and grammar when writing and speaking.

L2: Demonstrate command of conventions of capitalization, punctuation, and spelling when writing.

L3: Apply knowledge of language functions in order to affect comprehension and expression across contexts.

L5: Demonstrate understanding of figurative expression, word relationships, and nuances in language.

R1: Read closely and state meaning of text. Give specific examples from text to support conclusions.

R5: Use structure of text, text components, and formatting to assist in understanding the text.

R10: Use acquired techniques and strategies to read complex texts independently.

W10: Write frequently on a variety of topics for a variety of purposes.
