LGBT+ Pride Crossword - developing key language acquisition and meaning

This product is perfect for Pride and LGBT lessons where new language is being introduced to your students. 15 key words linked to LGBT groups are introduced within the crossword. Not only that, but we have included vocabulary cards, definitions and associated Pride flags for each community to ensure that students can use class displays to solve the crossword - introducing, developing and embedding the key vocabulary linked with different LGBT+ communities.

This product provided opportunities for us to talk with our students about each of the words which opened up discussions as to the definition of each group. Whilst our students had heard of most of the words, their understanding was unclear - this product, along with all the different elements supporting a very clear understanding. So much so that we have used it outside of Pride as part of our Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) sessions throughout the year. The vocabulary cards and definition cards were so powerful in the success of this product and engaging students in developing their own knowledge of LGBT+ groups and associated flags - they did not know there were so many!
