What educators are saying

My students had a fun time buildig robots with sensors. The lesson guided them through the objectives with ease. Will complete it again year after year.

Description

This document gives directions for students to start learning how to use and program the sensors on their EV3 robot as well as a rubric for how they will be assessed on the project. This is designed for students who have build the educator bot; the build that comes with the LEGO EV3 for Education kits, but students can improvise their builds if they have more experience.

The general premise is that they will learn how to program the sensors to avoid running into other robots in the arena. Last bot standing wins.

It also provides links to YouTube videos on how to program particular sensors as well as how to run multiple sensors at the same time.

The third page contains a link for teacher to be able to create a copy of the rubric and modify it as they see fit.
