Kwanzaa Theme Preschool and PreK Centers

The Kwanzaa Preschool Pack is a collection of engaging preschool activities about Kwanzaa. With a focus on developing key skills in areas like visual discrimination, fine motor skills, language development and early math, these hands-on activities will keep preschoolers engaged while fostering learning.

The pack contains:

• Color and Size Sorting Cards - Two sets of picture cards to sort by color or size. Sort on felt mats or in columns/rows. Match to color tablets or paint swatches. Make a printable booklet.

• Picture Matching - Full color, outline and silhouette picture cards for a 3-step matching activity. Emphasizes left-to-right and top-to-bottom orientation.

• Vocabulary 3-Part Cards - Cut out cards to match Kwanzaa vocabulary words and images. Use for reading or make a printable booklet.

• Following Directions - Direction cards with 1, 2 and 3-step instructions. Fun for small groups to promote listening comprehension.

• Question Game - Picture cards and question cards to build vocabulary, inferencing and language skills.

• Category Sorting - Sort picture cards onto category mats to build conceptual knowledge.

• Cutting Practice Sheets - Highly motivating sheets with simple cutting lines and shapes to develop scissor skills.

• Number Cards 0-10 - Use for counting, number recognition, calendar work. Blank cards included to to write your own numbers.

• Counting Clip Cards - Clip clothespins next to the correct number. Color coding allows for self-checking. Foster number sense.

• Playdough Mats - Laminated playdough mats with Kwanzaa imagery and numbers to explore. Add playdough pieces as directed by the number on the mat.
