Kindness Writing Activity | Story Starters | Role Play | 10 Prompts

Inspire acts of kindness and empathy in your learners with these kindness theme writing prompts. Each prompt includes a well-described situation which requires the student to search within and come up with a kind and appropriate response.

These are not your typical one-line prompts! They require the students to really think about what they would do in different situations.

Prompts include everyday situations, like how to respond to a student that dropped his books and is being jeered at. Other prompts are totally imaginary, like a genie lamp found under a pillow, that requests acts of kindness in order to activate. All are based on the theme of kindness.

The prompts are also well-suited for role-playing situations with a whole group or small group. This would be a great differentiation option for those learners who may have difficulty writing or are not English proficient.
