Description

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

Kindest Generation, a brand new textbook designed to promote healthy social emotional behavior, assist English language learners with their reading, and differentiate reading instruction across the curriculum is now LIVE! Kindest Generation allows for learners at home to engage in structured ELA lessons from any device, at any time.

Kindest Generation at Home was designed with 21st century learners in mind. The acronym KIND was developed in order to create four, unique thematic units. (Knowledge is Power, Inspire Others, Never Give Up, Diversity is Strength)

Our unbiased lessons focus on positive people and their inspiring stories. Children will have the opportunity to learn about human rights and climate science, two pressing issues that the Kindest Generation will face in their future.

Kindest Generation will be a "living" textbook. A primary goal as The Kindest Generation launches is to get feedback from our educators, parents, and the Kindest Generation as we continue to develop current, relevant, unbiased lessons that learners will find engaging, entertaining, and educational. Our next release of lessons is scheduled for August 2019.

As a lifelong learner and career educator, I've spoken with countless parents who struggle with the same problem... finding a safe, learning environment to learn online.
Resources can get expensive, and many parents aren't sure if they are appropriate? That is why Kindest Generation at Home is offered for the low rate of $1/month.

As of May 2019, our differentiated, non-fiction lessons have directions for each activity within each lesson translated into Spanish, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, and Thai. (As more learners join, we will be able to expand the amount of languages!)

Kindest Generation uses Nearpod to host the lessons, which offers open-ended questions, self-graded quizzes, polls, draw-it activities, fill-in-the-blank activities, matching and interactive class collaboration activities.

Videos and Nearpod VR technology (including Google Earth and Google Steet Treks) allows for learners to take virtual field trips around the world right from their home.

Nearpod also allows for the integration of:

Quizlet to introduce vocabulary words relevant with the lesson.

Newsela, an ELA resource for current events, allows for differentiation within lessons, by allowing the same article (with self-grading quizzes) to be read at five separate reading levels.

Quizizz (better for an individual review) and Kahoot! (better for collaborative review) are included as great and fun ways to wrap up and review each lesson.
