Description

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

The Kindest Generation, a brand new textbook designed to promote healthy social emotional behavior, assist English language learners with their reading, and differentiate reading instruction across the curriculum is now LIVE!

All lessons are designed with 21st century learners and educators in mind.

Kindest Generation in the Classroom uses the acronym KIND (Knowledge is Power, Inspire Others, Never Give Up, Diversity is Strength) to create four unique thematic units.

A primary goal as The Kindest Generation launches is to get feedback from our educators, parents, and the Kindest Generation as we continue to develop current, relevant, unbiased lessons that learners will find engaging, entertaining, and educational.

As a lifelong learner and career educator, I know how hard teachers work for their money, and the limited financial resources available. That is why I offer Kindest Generation in the Classroom for $1/month.

Teachers who subscribe will also receive 4 FREE Classroom posters and multiple digital badges to share with their students, including "I Teach the Kindest Generation" and "Member - Kindest Generation."

As of April 2020, our differentiated, non-fiction lessons have directions for each activity within each lesson translated into Spanish, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, and Thai. (As more teachers join, we will be able to expand the amount of languages!)

Kindest Generation uses Nearpod to host the lessons, which offers open-ended questions, self-graded quizzes, polls, draw-it activities, fill-in-the-blank activities, matching and interactive class collaboration activities. Teachers get student results in REAL TIME, and all results are downloadable in student and class view after the lesson.

Videos and Nearpod VR technology (including Google Earth and Google Steet Treks) allows for virtual field trips at the click of a button.

Nearpod also allows for the integration of:

Quizlet to introduce vocabulary words relevant with the lesson. (Hint: Quizlet Live is a fun, engaging activity that allows students to move freely and collaborate with other students!)

Newsela, an ELA resource for current events, allows for differentiation within lessons, by allowing the same article (with self-grading quizzes) to be read at five separate reading levels.

Quizizz (better for an individual review) and Kahoot! (better for collaborative review) are included as great and fun ways to wrap up and review each lesson.

Go to www.thekindestschool.org to find out more about Kindest Generation, and how PTA's can bring it can bring homes and schools, for as low as $1 per student, per year!
