Kindergarten Technology Plans! (Year Long)
Description
This year of lesson plans are straight from my own Computer Lab! Ready to go on the first day of Kindergarten, which is often times the first time your students will have ever seen or touched an actual computer.
First things first, they need to understand how to use the mouse.
Unit 1 teaches them how to move, click, and drag and drop with accompanying slideshows and demo videos.
In Unit 2 they will begin to explore the World Wide Web and learn how to scroll through websites, troubleshoot Flash issues, and move back and forth seamlessly through the assigned SAFE websites.
In Unit 3 they will work on building their mouse fluency, but will also practice ELA skills.
Unit 4 is dedicated to Digital Citizenship, where they learn about internet safety and balancing screen time.
In Unit 5 they will practice counting, shapes, addition and subtraction.
Unit 6 is coding time, in which they will learn what a computer programmer does.
Wrap the year up with Unit 7 as they get creative using various art websites to create piece of digital art. THAT'S 32 WEEKS OF LESSONS! Your whole year, planned!
ALSO INCLUDED:
6 Special Occasion Lessons
Halloween
Thanksgiving
Winter Holidays

AND 11 additional resources (slides, games, and videos!) for use with the plans.
