This map also includes digraphs and sight words for the year. Every year my class is split in half, those who are ready to move on and those who need more assistance. This map includes a list of first grade words to differentiate your lessons or homework. I give this list to students who have gotten a 100% or better on the first 5-8 spelling tests, depending on if you choose to start the year assessing letter sounds as practice tests.
