What educators are saying

I love using these pages to help students practice reading sight words. The kids love them too because they build confidence when they are able to read everything on the page.
This is one of my most used TPT purchases! Every week we get a new fluency sheet to match our sight word of the week and the kids love pink paper Thursdays because they feel like awesome readers!

Description

These sight word sentences, fluency passages and games for Guided Reading Levels C and D are designed to help kids build confidence with early literacy skills. A high level of picture support is provided. Just one sight word is added on each page.

This resource is ideal for use toward the end of kindergarten and/or toward the beginning of first grade. For students needing more support, consider Sight Word Sentences for Guided Reading Levels A and B.

To provide flexibility, for use in distance learning and/or a classroom setting, the following options are offered:

1) A link to a document in Google Slides

2) A link to a document with a JPEG image of each page

3) Ready for use with Easel by TpT™ (the new TpT digital tool)

4) Printable, as a traditional PDF, in full color

5) Printable, as a traditional PDF, in an ink-saving black and white version

Repeated reading of these passages helps students master these important sight words and also develop fluency in reading.

The focus words in this pack are: no, his, her, has, by, way, him, will, day, may, want, all, that, not, came, one, two, after, make, was, get, out, about, other, would, who, write, from, what, find, many, old, first, these, use, your, as, called, water, words, number, more, some, were, again, long, time, there, each, when, could, why, because, part, their.

Because of the highly supportive format, these sight word sentences are ideal for use during small group instruction, chorally with your whole class, as a distance learning resource, and/or in literacy centers.

When reading the Sight Word Sentences, I encourage students to color in a star each time they read the page.

This Resource Includes:

★ A full color set of Sight Word Sentences

★ An ink-saving black and white version of these Sight Word Sentences

★ A parent information letter

★ A Reading Comprehension Game

★ A Roll, Read and Write Game

★ A printable PDF and also an option for use with the new TpT Digital Tool

Samples of each activity are available to explore in the resource preview.

Many thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

Sincerely,

Anne Gardner (National Board Certified in Literacy)
