Kindergarten Morning Work, A Greeting / Meeting Activity

This a fun activity to start the day and reinforce previous days learning or introduce new learning it includes 206 cards for the alphabet, sight words, numbers, shapes and beginning digraphs sh, th, wh and ch.

The idea came to me originally as a way to reinforce the sight word of the previous day and then I thought why not incorporate it earlier with children's name, the alphabet and numbers and shapes.

It is very simple to set up pop out a piece or 2 of school butcher paper, stamps, pencils, paints, shapes whatever you are using and leave the relevant “Good Morning”card and thats it.

I also find it is great for children who are reluctant to leave their caregivers in the morning as it is a fun focus and it encourages children to unpack their bag etc. as they are not allowed to partake in the activity until these jobs are done. I have included a poster of my rules.

The activities included are:

⭐️Draw something that begins with the letter x 26

⭐️Draw something that begins with sh, ch, th & wh

⭐️Stamp 45 sight words

⭐️Write the same 45 sight words as above

⭐️Paint the no.s 1 to 20

⭐️Dab dots for no.s 1 to 20

⭐️Draw 10 shapes

⭐️Find 10 shapes

⭐️Blank cards
