What educators are saying

My students are OBSESSED with these videos. We use them whenever we have a few extra minutes and they are always excited.
I loved using 7 minute drills last year for morning work. The students love it and it gave me time to check-in with students who needed me while the other children were engaged. Not one minute of instruction was lost.

Description

Have you ever felt overwhelmed and just needed a minute to catch your breath? Have you ever wondered how you could keep your class busy while you worked one-on-one with a student or small group? I know I have and that's why I created 7 Minute Whiteboard Videos. They are ZERO prep! No copies! No early finishers! No grading! The best part is, kids LOVE them!

These videos offer a quick, no-prep review that your students are going to love! Each student needs a whiteboard, marker, and eraser. They are a wonderful resource for in-person AND distant learning.

Videos included are-

❄️ Penguin Addition (to 5) - We see some cute little penguins with blue hats and some with red hats. Can your kids write the addition sentence to show how many all together? I love that this is math in action! We see this two groups coming together. I love that this has visual prompts that tell the kids where to write the numbers. I love that it walks them through the process when they check their answers. Click here to see an example from this video!

❄️ Moose Prepositions - "Is the moose behind the tree?" This video is also GREAT for English language learners. Click here to see a preview of this video.

❄️ Snowman Says - Write the Letters! - This cute snowman will say letters twice. Can your kids write the letter before the sun comes up and melts the ice block revealing the letter the snowman said? I love how this one shows kids how each letter is formed when they check their answers. Such a great visual to help reinforce letter formation! Click here to see a preview of this video. (To get every letter of the alphabet, you'll get two videos in this theme.)

❄️ It's Snowing Syllables - Can your kids count syllables in winter words before the cloud starts snowing syllables? Before they erase their boards, they will tap the syllables. Click here to see a preview of this video.

❄️ Smitten Mitten Rhyme Time - A pair of mittens says two words. Do they rhyme? Your kids will draw a happy face or a sad face to show their answers. Click here to see a preview of this video.

❄️ Onset and Rime Snowball Fight - We see snowballs fly in from the left and right with word chunks on them. Can your kids put the sounds together and draw a picture of the word they make? Click to see a preview of this video!

❄️ Frosty Facts (Addition Sentences to 7) - The snowman is holding up fingers on each hand. Can your students write how many students he has on each side and how many there are in all before the answer is shown? Click here to see a preview of this video.

❄️ Snow Globe Numbers - "Put the numbers in order from least to greatest." We see the snow globe with snow flake numbers floating around. Can your kids put the numbers in order? Click here to see a preview of this video.

❄️ Ice Block Sight Words - We see and hear two words. Can your kids write the word that is the same shape as the ice blocks shown? This is a GREAT way to practice reading and writing sight words even if your little friends can't read the words independently. Words include: the, of, and, a, to, in, is, you, that, it. Click here to see a preview of this video.

❄️ CvC Soup - We see a CvC word on a spoon and some cute little crackers tell us what the word is. Can your kids write the word before the spoon plunges into the alphabet soup and comes back up with the letters that spell the word? Click here to see this one!

❄️ Alpha-Mallows Letter Sounds - There is a bag of marshmallows with all the letters of the alphabet, but the mug of cocoa is eating one of them! As he chews, we hear him say the sound the letter makes. Can your kids write the missing letter before he opens his mouth and shows us what he's chewing on? Click here to see a preview of this video.

❄️ Ice Fishing (one more/one less) - There are ___ fish. We see a gust of wind spin the spinner to show either "one more" or "one less" and kids will write the new number. This video is so cute when it checks the answers. The polar bear will either catch a fish (one more) or one his fish jumps back intothe water (one less). Click here to see this video.
