Description

Have you ever felt overwhelmed and just needed a minute to catch your breath? Have you ever wondered how you could keep your class busy while you worked one-on-one with a student or small group? I know I have and that's why I created 7 Minute Whiteboard Videos. They are ZERO prep! No copies! No early finishers! No grading! The best part is, kids LOVE them!

These videos offer a quick, no-prep review that your students are going to love! Each student needs a whiteboard, marker, and eraser. They are a wonderful resource for in-person AND distant learning.

This set includes a variety of skills and is a great review for your kindergartners. Videos included are-

Letter Recognition or Walk the Plank! - We see two letters but one of them is an imposter! The pirate's parrot knows who the REAL letter is. Your students will need to write the letter he says and then watch the imposter letter walk the plank! This is seriously so darn cute! Click here if you don't believe me! Haha!

Cave of Sounds - Go into the "Cave of Sounds" to see 26 sparkling gems on the wall with letters on them. One gem is missing and we see a treasure chest chewing. He is saying the sound of the missing gem. Can your students figure out which letter he is eating before he opens his mouth to show us? Click here to see this cute video!

X Marks the Spot - Where do you hear the sound in the word? Put an X to show beginning, middle, or end. This video is great for phoneme isolation. Click here to see it!

Blasting CvC Words - A cannon blasts a hole in the one of the portholes on the ship and blows out a window that showed us a letter. There's a picture on the sail and our friendly jolly roger flag says the word. Can your students figure out the letter that has been blasted away? Great practice for CvC words! Get ready to "fire in the hole!" Click here to see it!

Teaching the Parrot Letters - This video is so cute and full of repetition to help your kinders learn their letters! Our first job is to teach the parrot to talk. Your kids will say the letters of the alphabet twice (because parrots have to hear things more than once!) before he learns the letter names! Next, we have to write the letters he says on our dry erase boards. Kids go crazy for this video because they think it is so fun that they taught the parrot to talk. Click here to see a preview of this video!

Counting Cannon Blasts - How many cannon blasts do you hear? This is so fun! We see the cannon ball fly and splash into the ocean. This video focuses on numbers to 10. Click here to see a preview!

Parrot Prepositions - "Is the parrot inside the hat? Write yes or no." This video is great because it is packed with audio directions for non-readers. Click here to see a preview!

Making 10 Treasure Chest - We see treasure on the sand and hear that there are 10 pieces of treasure in all. Can your kids figure out how many pieces are inside the treasure chest? They write it on their boards before we see a ten frame revealed in the chest and the addition sentence shows the answer. The visuals are wonderful in this! So great for missing addends, counting, and ten partners. Click here to see this little treasure!

Stretching Sounds - Your kids will use their imaginations as they draw islands on their boards and then pretend their markers are pirate ships as they sail the see and stretch the sounds. Then they must decide if the sounds create a real word or a nonsense word. This one is so fun and GREAT reading practice! Click here to check it out!

Addition Sentences to 10 - Practice writing addition sentences with this fun video. Great audio and visuals for beginning mathematicians. Click here to see it!

2D Treasure Hunt - Your kids will have so much fun finding treasure on the beach then drawing the shapes they saw. Get your spyglass ready and click here to see a preview!

Sunken Treasure Subitizing - How many coins are in the treasure chest? It only opens for a couple seconds recognizing the number configurations is a challenge! Kids write how many they think there were then we look inside the chest and count along! GREAT practice building number sense! Click here to see a preview of this video!

Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1-20, count out that many objects.
