Kinder Keyboard Camp: Complete Collection

This collection of lessons and worksheets help develop young students’ familiarity with the home row keys on the keyboard. The activities and worksheets are purposely designed to be “unplugged,” or without computer use, in order to keep the focus on home row instead of the full keyboard and mouse.

Set to the beat of the military cadence, “I Don’t Know, But I’ve Been Told,” this song introduces a musical element to memorizing the homerow letter keys.

{ Finger Fill In Worksheet }
This worksheet teaches students to associate different fingers with corresponding keyboard letters of home row. Through teacher guided instruction, students write the correct letter on the finger they would use on the keyboard. Lesson plan provided.

{ Color by Key }
These coloring sheets reinforce association of different fingers with corresponding keyboard letters. Students interact with each coloring image and color the portion of the picture that corresponds with the “letter of the day” that they are learning.

{ Homerow Lesson Bundle }
This collection of lessons teaches hand motions and movements to associate with each finger and corresponding keyboard letter. This is a paperless and “unplugged” set of activities that can be used for direct teaching of homerow letters or as reinforcements of prior learned letters.

{ S’more Activities }
Two different activities are included in this product. The first is an interactive “I Have, Who Has” game where students link up to form “A,S,D,F” or “J,K,L,;” chains. The second consists of two worksheets, one for the left hand and right hand keys, respectively.
