Description
This is a kid-friendly version of the 2 point rubric utilized to score short responses on the Common Core New York State ELA test.
I used this to help students understand what is expected of them in their short responses.
Frequently, I would paste a small version of this rubric below areas where students would provide a short response. That way, after writing their response, students can rate their own work. This serves as a great self-assessment tool, and reminder of what the expectation is!
This tool also helps to create a common language between teacher and student for feedback and assessment!
