What educators are saying

This is one of my favorite all time stories to read with my students. I used this resource as a week long packet to go along with the story. Great Resource.

Description

Katie's Trunk American Revolution Mentor Text

This unit was created to go with the book, Katie's Trunk by Ann Turner. It's about a Tory girl and her family right before the American Revolution- giving a different perspective than often taught. The unit includes activities for: inferring, synonyms (context clues), similes, character traits, writing using senses and imagery, and plotting the story.
