Description
Introduce your students to the former U.S. Poet Laureate, Juan Felipe Herrera. The first Latino to hold this position, Herrera is a great figure to highlight and study for National Poetry Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, or any time of the year.
This one-page reading passage and informational text is written for students in 4th - 8th grade. Includes an 8-question comprehension quiz plus answer key.
