John Kenn Mortensen Art Lesson - Age 11-14

A 1-2 week KS3 (11-14) lesson plan on the artist John Kenn Mortensen.

Students are required to discuss and devise a nightmare scene (what types of nightmares are scary to children). Sketch out character scenes and ideas.
Then sketch this out onto a Post-it / sticky note or draw a Post-it-sized box in their books. Create a nightmare scene in the style of Mortensen.

Equipment needed: post it’s, pencil, black biro of fine liner

Each lesson starts with an introduction slide to add your own information about what was previously completed and today’s lesson, as well as blank learning objectives. on each slide.

Task could be turned in to homework if the lesson is spent on designing.
