Description

Do your students struggle to keep up with answering video questions?

These graphic organizers are printable handouts that students can use to record what they've learned about each president while watching the show.

Most students need time to process and think about what they are watching before writing it down. The graphic organizer format allows the students freedom to write down what they learn, and reduces the anxiety of "missing what the speaker said".

What I love most about this type of video guide is that my students get to enjoy what they are watching and can use this to reflect on what they learned about history. It removes the fear of only one "right" answer, and because of this, I find the students making connections I hadn't even thought of! I also can see easily if students have a more difficult time making connections if their responses are vague or difficult to understand.

Time and thought has been put in to the handout, avoiding narrowly mentioned, specific, content. Important themes and concepts have been highlighted, and students have been given the opportunity to write down what they find interesting.

A section at the end provides for a quick, concise recap on the subject matter, great for closures or class discussion extension activities.

Great for ESL and SpEd!
