This art lesson teaches students about the unique artwork of Jean-Michel Basquiat.
Included in this lesson is a brief history of Basquiat's life and a page about Pictograms and how Basquiat's work fits into the description of a Pictogram, a story telling picture.
The activity can be for grades 2-12 depending on how much time the students are given to develop ideas and fine tune technique.
