Description
Introduce students to Japanese geography (archipelago and mountainous topography) and the development of religious beliefs based on geography. Next, students then learn about four specific ideas that came to Japan from China and Korea and how Japan was impacted by cultural diffusion (Confucianism, Buddhism, Tea Ceremony, Flower Ceremony). You can have students learn about each of these ideas independently, organize it as a gallery walk, or have students do a jigsaw activity.
